Nam Tso Lake is a large saltwater lake. We drove north of Lhasa for almost an entire day to get there. Most of the roads that we traveled on were dirt and gravel.

During daylight we stayed warm under the protection of the cliffs. After dark, the wind came sweeping across the snowfields before racing across the lake toward us.

At night the moon, stars, and planets were reflected in Nam Tso's water.
