Driving into Lhasa from the airport, we stopped to see this Buddha that is carved in a rock cliff. It is brightly painted. You can see prayer flags which have Buddhist sutras written on them. When the wind blows, the prayers are released to heaven. Flags such as these can be found at almost all the sacred places in Tibet.
